Halloween itself was a quiet night for us-we stayed in and no one came to trick or treat at our door. We got all our celebrating done last Saturday, at the Parade of Lost Souls.

The wacky weather just keeps on coming. Last night, after days of wind and rain, we witnessed something that I didn't even know existed: green lightning. The entire sky was illuminated with this neon green light, similar to what you might see in the northern lights. Only, lightning. The third week of classes is just beginning, and I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. We've been in Canada for just a bit over a month, and feels simultaneously like we've been here forever and like we just get here. Many aspects of our lives are going quite well. ( Here's a summary: )

This weekend was great. I got off work early on Friday, headed up to LA in surprisingly non-atrocious traffic, checked into the luxurious Chase Suites hotel in Fullerton, and got ready to attend the Labyrinth of Jareth, a fantasy themed masquerade ball. It was awesome.
